Worcester Bravehearts

After 12 years with the Worcester Bravehearts collegiate summer baseball team, General Manager Dave Peterson has been let go by the organization.

Mane Event is a hoppy blonde ale, with alcohol by volume of 4.8%, and is brewed with Wai-iti hops, creating a tropical aroma with hints of mango, peach and grapefruit. 

The Bravehearts begin their 2024 campaign May 24 on the road against the Westfield Starfires, with their first home game slated against the Starfires on May 25.

Inspired by the hit ABC television show “Shark Tank”, the competition had collegiate entrepreneurs make a pitch for their businesses in front of a live studio audience.

The Vaccaro family has always shared a lifelong passion for baseball, which includes decades of coaching experience for the Shrewsbury American Legion Post 397 baseball team.

Any lingering animosity from the Worcester Bravehearts toward the Worcester Red Sox seems to be a thing of the past, as Worcester’s two baseball franchises held a joint press conference at Polar Park on Thursday to announce a trio of community initiatives. 

The Worcester Bravehearts reported an average attendance of 1,602 for the 2022 season, up 30% from the previous year, including five sellouts.

In 2021, the Bravehearts averaged 1,229 fans per game, less than half of that of 2019. A major contributor to this slough was the inability to sell group tickets to businesses and schools, due to remote work and learning.

The Worcester Bravehearts will be back in their home city this year and will be returning as one of Worcester's two hometown baseball teams.
