Price Chopper in Hopkinton and Market 32 in Sutton are one of several of the chain's stores to begin a partnership with grocery delivery service Instacart on Wednesday.

San Francisco-based delivery service Instacart and Springfield grocery chain Big Y have expanded their partnership to the Worcester and Boston areas.

A grocery delivery service available via a mobile app and website will be coming to the Worcester area next week.

Wegmans said Wednesday it has begun hiring approximately 550 employees for its two-story Natick Mall location scheduled to open in spring.

Wegmans, whose first New England store opened in 2011 in Northborough, has about 80 stores, mostly in Pennsylvania and its home state of New York. While that may be fewer than other grocery store chains, Wegmans' ratings in the survey “make them look like a regional David among national-brand Goliaths," says Michael Treboni, executive vice president of retail professional services at Nielsen, the parent of Harris.
