Fallon Health, a Worcester-based provider of health insurance and health care services, will be moving its headquarters to One Mercantile, an office building formerly known as the Unum building.
Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co., a subsidiary of Tennessee-based insurance company Unum, opened an office at the One Mercantile building in Worcester, which will serve as the hub for the company’s New England operation.
Worcester city officials are weighing whether to keep a tax break in place for the Unum after the insurance company said in July it would close its downtown office and instead have hundreds of employees work from home.
People are on the move at the Massachusetts Bankers Association, UMass Medical School and Harrington Physician Services' Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation practice, among others.
Insurance company Unum, with a significant presence in downtown Worcester, was recognized as being one of the 50 most community-minded U.S. corporations.
