Jeffrey Thomas has been named as the new chief financial officer of the Massachusetts market of Tenet Healthcare. 

The National Labor Relations Board has issued a formal complaint against Saint Vincent Hospital citing a number of nurses’ union rights violations perpetrated by the hospital.

Eight registered nurses have filed a lawsuit against Saint Vincent Hospital and its owner, Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, under the Whistleblower Protection Act, claiming wrongful termination after they reported concerns about unsafe conditions to regulators.

The Massachusetts Nurses Association labor union wasted no time in criticizing the hospital for this misleading claim.

Despite the hospital's claims, DPH's investigation into Saint Vincent remains ongoing, according to the government agency.

As state regulators investigate nurses’ claims of unsafe conditions at Saint Vincent Hospital, a national accrediting agency has found the Worcester healthcare provider is not compliant with industry standards.

This transaction comes after a February deal which saw Tenet offload four other California hospitals to UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine.

Central Massachusetts professionals are getting hired and promoted at Saint Vincent Hospital, AAFCPAs, the Milford Physician Group, and the Telegram & Gazette.

The petition comes in the wake of a January announcement by MNA complaints had been filed to a number of federal and state officials regarding conditions at the hospital. 

Tenet Healthcare Corp., the Texas-based, for-profit healthcare services company that owns Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell four hospitals that the company operates in Southern California.
