Nichols College in Dudley has named Jean Beaupre, faculty advisor to the school's Institute for Women's Leadership and associate professor of communication and marketing, as associate dean for academic affairs.

When students return to campus at Nichols College this fall, they will be greeted by a new face: Glenn Sulmasy, who began his term July 1 as president of the institution in Dudley.

Nichols College’s Institute for Women’s Leadership will be named for outgoing president Susan West Engelkemeyer, who retired in June after 10 years at the Dudley school, the college’s board of trustees announced on Wednesday.

To better represent its patient population, the board of directors at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center has made an effort during the past three years to diversify and include a greater variety of perspectives under the leadership of chair Valerie Zolezzi-Wyndham.

When Nichols College launched a fundraising campaign in 2015, it set a goal of $45 million. It surpassed that in just two years, and six years later, the campaign is wrapping up with a total of $66 million.

Five years ago, WBJ created its Hall of Fame in order to honor the lifetime achievements of those professionals who have significantly improved the Central Massachusetts economy and community. With the induction this year of the Class of 2021, the WBJ Hall of Fame has grown to 17 members
