YWCA Central Massachusetts in Worcester has elected Christienne Bik of Shrewsbury to serve as president of the organization’s board of directors.
Bik has risen through positions on the YWCA board over her 11 years and has chaired the YWCA’s Public Policy Committee, and served as a tri-chair of the YWCA’s LIVE Capital Campaign, which led fundraising for the organization’s $24 million renovation of its Salem Street headquarters.
At Fallon Health, Bik is the director of government affairs and public policy. Prior to that she served as an assistant district attorney in the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
In 2014, Bik received WBJ’s 40 Under Forty Award.
Other officers elected at the meeting are Alexizendria Link, president-elect, Monica Thomas-Bonnick, vice president, Kristin Sawash, treasurer, Kristin DeSousa, assistant treasurer, and Amane AbdelJaber, clerk.
Members joining the board are Patricia Leary of Shrewsbury, Jessica McGarry of Sutton, and Mary Ritchie Murphy of Worcester.
