A Worcester yoga studio is being forced to close after the building it operated in was damaged by nearby demolition.
MetroWest Yoga, which operated a studio in a former industrial building at 91 Prescott St, wrote on Facebook Sunday the building inspector has deemed the building unsafe. Now, it will be demolished.
Two nearby portions of the historic Northworks manufacturing facility have been slated for demolition since August to make way for more parking for the revitalized portion of the building along Grove Street.
MetroWest Yoga had been updating customers on where to park and how to access the studio during construction, but made its final post about the construction and permanent closure of the studio on Sunday.
“Needles to say this was mind blowing,” the studio wrote, adding its last Worcester studio was sold and them also demolished.
The building is owned by Worcester entity Grove Street Family Properties, which owns three other nearby properties.
A City Hall spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment on the issue.
