Guy Broadbent, a former executive at Thermo Fisher Scientific, has been named the new president and CEO of Xcellerex Inc. in Marlborough.
Xcellerex’s former president and CEO, Joseph Zakrzewski, will remain on with the company as chairman of the board of directors for the biomanufacturing company.
Broadbent formerly served as president of the $1.8 billion portion of Thermo Fisher’s laboratory products division and has also held the position of senior vice president for corporate development.
The move was part of an existing management succession plan the company had. Zakrzewski joined Xcellerex in 2007.
