Wyebot, the Marlborough WiFi automation equipment maker, said the company grew considerably last year.
In an announcement Thursday, the firm said they added 223 new customers and increased bookings by 450% in 2019 compared to 2018.
The fourth quarter was particularly significant, Wyebot said. They added 95 customers and experienced a more than 90% growth over the third quarter of 2019.
Wyebot did not disclose its earnings or losses.
They face competition from at least four other companies including Franklin Wireless, Sfara, Falkonry, and Drayson Technologies.
Last year, Wyebot expanded their business into schools, the company said. As districts and universities add laptops, tablets, smart boards to curriculum, and that standardized tests also require high performing WiFi networks, Wyebot has assisted IT departments, the firm said.
Wyebot also added healthcare markets to their business portfolio, they said.
Roger Sands, Wyebot’s CEO, said the company raised $2.5 million last fall in series-seed funding, led by Innospark Ventures and Tectonic Ventures, to boost its growth.
For its success in 2019, Wyebot was also recognized for a number of initiatives, including being named “Overall WiFi Network Infrastructure of the Year” by Mobile Breakthrough, an independent organization that recognizes the top companies in the global wireless and mobile market.
