Wright Line, a Worcester-based designer of office furniture and systems, recently received a patent for its system to reduce heat from office data centers.
The system was developed to meet customers’ needs to reduce operating costs, conserve energy and eliminate waste, the company said in a press release.
The newly patented system works by directing heat exhaust from IT equipment to the air conditioning units of a data center, and the system works with Wright Line’s previously designed platforms, as well as those produced by most third-party manufacturers.
The patent was granted on Oct. 20.
