The chief information officer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Deborah Scott, was named to Computerworld’s 2016 Premier 100 Technology Leaders list.
Scott leads the Information Technology Services division and oversees a broad range of IT strategies and services for WPI, according to the school’s website. Her purview includes academic research computing, the Academic Technology Center for teaching and learning, support services, telecommunications and information security.
The leaders from technology and business are being acknowledged by Computerworld for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges, according to the media organization. The honorees will be recognized in March during an awards ceremony at the AGENDA Conference.
Framingham-based Computerworld began the annual list in 2000.
