WPI names new VP

Worcester Polytechnic Institute has promoted Linda Carre Looft to assistant vice president for government and community relations.

In her new role, Looft will serve as senior liaison to federal, state, and local officials for the school’s academic and research communities.  Looft has played an instrumental role in attracting grants to the university, and will continue to work closely with government agencies to obtain research funding in targeted areas. 

Looft was involved in WPI’s most recent grant, a $2 million award for the Center of Untethered Healthcare and Center for Neuroprosthetics and BioMEMS.  Read more by clicking here.
