Local universities are giving people two opportunities to catch a lecture entitled “The Current Financial Crisis: Causes and Remedies” by Carolyn V. Currie, a principal at the Australia-based Private Public Sector Partnerships.
Currie, a financial regulation expert and forensic accountant, is scheduled to deliver the lecture Sept. 29 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. That lecture is set for 2 p.m. at WPI’s Higgins labs.
The next day, Currie will speak at Assumption College at 7 p.m. in the school’s Maison Francaise auditorium.
Currie is currently a lecturer at the University of Technology in Sydney and in 2006 authored “A New Theory of Financial Regulation: Predicting Measuring and Preventing Financial Crisis.”
