Wound care provider recognizes Harrington

The Wound Care Center at Harrington has received an award for excellence from Healogics Inc., a national provider of advanced wound care services.
The Robert A. Warriner III Center of Excellence award recognizes providers that have achieved or exceeded “outstanding” clinical and operational results for 2016, including a 92-percent patient satisfaction rate and a 91-percent healing rate, according to a statement from Harrington. The award is reserved for locations that have earned at least two consecutive awards; the Wound Care Center at Harrington received the Center of Distinction award in 2014 and its first Center of Excellence award in 2015, Harrington said.
Of 334 eligible centers nationwide, 169 received the Center of Excellence distinction this year. Harrington was the only winner in the Worcester area.
The Wound Care Center is located in Charlton and opened in 2010.
