World Energy Nets Gain In Q1
Worcester energy management company World Energy Solutions Inc. made a profit of $250,089 in the first quarter, up from a loss of $128,444 in the same period last year.
The company also increased its revenue 12 percent year-over-year, to $4.9 million.
World Energy said its recent sale of $5.3 million in stock brings it to a total of $8 million in cash to pursue acquisitions and growth.
The company first turned a profit in the third quarter of 2010.
