Mansfield Holdings Group LLC of Worcester, led by the founder of a city-based energy services company, has purchased Lapels Dry Cleaning stores in Boston, Cambridge, Natick and Needham.
“With its environmentally friendly dry cleaning methods and operations, Lapels Dry Cleaning is not only the future of dry cleaning but is very much part of the present,” Richard Domaleski, principal of Mansfield Holdings, said in a statement today. He said his firm will be looking for additional development opportunities for Lapels Dry Cleaning in the Boston and MetroWest areas.
Domaleski is the founder and former CEO of World Energy Solutions in Worcester, which was acquired by EnerNOC, of Boston, at the start of the year. He resigned from World Energy in 2012.
The acquisitions of the four Lapels stores became official April 30.
“Lapels is an organization that prides itself on greener practices in everything we do. Having someone with Richard’s credentials buy into what you’re doing is extremely gratifying,” said Kevin Dubois, CEO of Hanover, Mass.-based Lapels Dry Cleaning. “We’re very happy to have Mansfield Holdings on board and can’t wait to see what they do with these locations and other areas the group pursues.”
