Worcester-based World Energy Solutions is purchasing GSE Consulting, a Texas-based energy management firm for $8.6 million, which is the company’s third acquisition in as many months.
In September, WorldEnergy purchased Co-eXprise, an energy procurement company in Pennsylvania, for $4 million. Last month, the company bought Northeast Energy Solutions in Connecticut, another consultancy, for $4.75 million.
The company has pledged to retain about 20 GSE employees in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston areas in Texas.
In August, the company reported a $200,000 profit on $4.6 million in revenues in the second quarter.
