World Energy appoints new board chairman
World Energy Solutions, a Worcester energy management service firm, announced Peter Londa was appointed Monday as chairman of its board of directors.
Londa joined the company’s board of directors in March, and has demonstrated “strong leadership and a keen interest in our business,” said outgoing Chairman Edward Libbey, in a statement. Londa and Director Sean Sweeney were appointed at the request of major investor Ardsley Advisory Partners earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Libbey was reappointed as a director, as was Sweeney, and John C. Fox was named a new director. Each director will hold a three-year term.
Fox is the senior managing director at Perseus, a merchant bank and private equity management company, and has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, including positions at California’s Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E) and Ontario Power Generation, Inc.
