Workhuman, valued at $1.2B, becomes a unicorn

Human resources technology company Workhuman, co-headquartered in Framingham and Dublin, Ireland, has been valued at $1.2 billion, officially making it a so-called unicorn company, according to its press release.

Concurrently, Workhuman announced that London-based alternative asset manager Intermediate Capital Group has become an investor in the company, acquiring a minority stake in Workhuman from existing shareholders. That transaction, according to the announcement, valued Workhuman at the $1.2-billion mark.

The company’s status change comes as industries around the world shifted to remote, work-from-home business models in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

In the announcement, Workhuman cited ICG’s investment as part of the company’s European investment strategy.
