Workers' On The Web

Workers' Credit Union of Fitchburg has introduced an online-only savings account that it says is the first of its kind locally.
The credit union, which has 14 offices in North Central Massachusetts, said the account offers a higher interest rate than traditional savings accounts because of the low cost of providing the account online. WCU also said the account was a response to customers becoming more comfortable with online banking.
Workers' was founded in 1914 and claims assets of more than $600 million.
