Workers Credit Union, headquartered in Littleton, announced a new, 2,875-square-foot PlanIt location in Shrewsbury as part of its ongoing Workers Way financial wellness program.
The PlanIt centers are spaces where members can privately meet one-on-one with certified financial coaches and plan for future goals, according to the Tuesday press release announcing the new location.
Located at 20 Boston Turnpike, the latest PlanIt site includes an interactive hologram named Olivia who assists with scheduling and greeting members while a humanoid robot named Pepper keeps the mood light and fun.
Additionally, video teller ATMs will assist credit union members with traditional banking needs such as making deposits and withdrawing funds.
Workers Credit Union anticipates opening more PlanIt locations throughout the coming year.
“We developed the Workers Way so that members could bring their financial concerns in a welcoming and accepting environment and receive the support they need to chart their own financial future,” said Johan Romero Luna, vice president of Workers Credit Union and branch administrator for Workers Way, in the written press release.
