Worcester manufacturer Curtis Industries has a new president and chief executive officer.
Scott Nelson, a 26-year veteran of the construction equipment industry, succeeds John Rachwalski, who is retiring but will remain as a consultant and member of the company’s board of directors, the company said. Curtis makes cabs, enclosures and accessories for commercial, recreational and work vehicles.
Nelson was most recently president of a foreign sales division of Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment and had been CEO of Doosan Infracore International, which included Bobcat Co., Ingersoll Rand Portable Power and the attachments business unit sold by Ingersoll Rand in 2007. Doosan is one of the world’s largest makers of construction equipment, a Curtis statement said.
