Gov. Deval Patrick has named Michael Angelini to the Massachusetts Port Authority Board of Directors. Angelini is chairman of law firm Bowditch & Dewey of Worcester, where he has worked as a trial and business lawyer since 1968. He is a former director of the Mass Turnpike Authority and chairman of the Hanover Insurance Group Board of Directors.
In 2005, Angelini received an Isaiah Thomas Award from the city of Worcester for his community leadership.
He earned a bachelor's at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a juris doctor from Duke University School of Law in North Carolina.
Also named to the Massport board is Douglas Husid, co-managing director of Boston-based Goulston & Storrs for 13 years.
The Massachusetts Port Authority operates New England's busiest airport, Logan, public terminals in the Port of Boston, Hanscom Field and Worcester Regional Airport. Its transportation facilities generate more than $8 billion a year.
