Diem Cannabis, a marijuana retailer with locations in Portland, Ore. and Salem, Mass., will open a recreational dispensary at 74 Grafton St. in Worcester on Friday, the company's CEO Chris Mitchem announced on Tuesday.
It will be the fifth dispensary in Worcester and the second to allow recreational sales, after Good Chemistry on Harrison Street. The other three medical-only dispensaries are Resinate on Millbury Street, Mission Dispensary on Lincoln Street and the Botanist on Pullman Street.
Diem Worcester will be strictly adult-use retail and will mark the company's third location. Diem received final licensure to open on April 9.
A ribbon cutting will take place before the Worcester shop opens for business at 9 a.m. on Friday.
Mitchem has said he expects the Worcester location to sell about $10 million in products annual and employ between 25 and 30 people.
