Electric City Wind Power Corp., a Scranton, Pa.-based licensee to Mass Megawatts Wind Power Inc. of Worcester has agreed to purchase $5.8 million in Mass Megawatts power plants.
According to Mass Megawatts, the two companies have signed a letter of understanding for the transaction. Mass Megawatts is a shareholder in Electric City and receives royalties on its revenue.
The agreement calls for the installation of three Mass Megawatts wind power systems in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The projects will generate between 500 kilowatts and 1 megawatt of electricity.
