Vegan restaurant Chickpea will close at the end of May, it announced on Facebook this week.
The restaurant at 589 Park Ave. in Worcester will not entirely go away, however. Chickpea said it will operate as a pop-up restaurant at the restaurant Bull Mansion at 55 Pearl St. this summer with a limited dessert and grab-and-go offerings for breakfast and lunch. It will also continue participating in local fairs and events and will be available for catering and baked-good orders, the restaurant said in the post.
"We will be posting regularly on all of our social media platforms to keep you all informed as things progress," Chickpea posted. "Thank you all for your love and support over the past few years. We promise you haven’t seen the end of us yet!"
Chickpea, which serves sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and doughnuts, among other goods, opened in 2015.
