Worcester Together Fund surpasses $6.5M

The Worcester Together Fund, a joint effort between the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and the United Way of Central Massachusetts, in conjunction with the City of Worcester, has raised more than $6.5 million, the City of Worcester announced on Tuesday.

The money raised for the fund goes toward supporting the needs of area organizations working with communities disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The deadline to apply to the second recovery grant funding phase is June 8.

Awards granted typically range from $25,000 to $100,000, and include consultative services to help organizations navigate recovery.
