The Worcester Together Fund announced it would be distributing $158,208 in its first round of grant funding in an effort to help the community deal with the coronavirus pandemic, according to a Thursday press release.
The first phase prioritized organizations helping to provide childcare for essential workers and first responders, vulnerable populations, the elderly and emergency food and shelter.
The Worcester Together Fund is a joint collaboration between the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, the United Way of Central Massachusetts and the City of Worcester.
Grant recipients announced Thursday are: Boys & Girls Club Worcester, Building Futures Inc., Catholic Charities, Dismas House of Massachusetts Inc., Friendly House Inc., Living in Freedom Together, Mass 211, Net of Compassion, Pernet Family Services, Project New Hope, Rachel's Table, Regional Environmental Council, Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts and the YWCA of Central Mass.
