The Worcester Together fund announced on Tuesday it had given $222,950 in grants, to be spread across 23 area nonprofits, as part of its third round of funding.
The Worcester Together fund is a joint effort between the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and the United Way of Central Massachusetts, in collaboration with the City of Worcester. It aims to support local organizations working with communities disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak in Worcester County.
The fund has received $4.3 million in donations since it was launched in late March.
It has now awarded $616,000 in grants to 51 local nonprofits, according to the Tuesday press release.
The latest round of grant recipients are Angels Net Foundation, Ascentria Community Services, Eastern Orthodox Management Corp./Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Family Continuity dba FCP Inc., Horace Mann Educational Association, Kennedy-Donovan Center, Living in Freedom Together, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Saint Paul's Elder Outreach, Seven Hills Foundation, South Worcester Neighborhood Improvement Corp., The Shine Initiative, Tri-Valley Inc., Worcester Refugee Assistance Project, Abby's House Elder Services of Worcester Area, Interfaith Hospitality Network, MAB Community Services Inc., North Star Family Services Inc., Our Father's House Inc., Quinsigamond Community College Foundation, Wheat Community Connections and YWCA Central Massachusetts.
