Worcester skate & snowboard shop building, lots sold for $780K

A Clinton real estate investment duo on Friday purchased three parcels on the Shrewsbury Street corridor in Worcester — including the Eastern Boarder shop — for $780,000.

The properties at 218 Shrewsbury St., 5 Oleum Court and 6 Verdi Road — all off Cristoforo Colombo Park — were purchased by CIG 218 Shrewsbury, LLC, according to land records. That entity is controlled by Thomas and Jeffrey Cunningham and headquartered at 89 Park St. in Clinton.

The Cunninghams were represented by Worcester realty firm Kelleher & Sadowsky while A. Murray Real Estate of Worcester represented the sellers, married couple Arthur and Maureen Croteau.

The Cunninghams purchased the property as an investment, said Andrew Murray of A. Murray Real Estate.

The 15,000-square-foot building listed at 218 Shrewsbury St. is the home to skateboard and snowboard shop Eastern Boarder.

According to real estate firm A. Murray Real Estate, other tenants include Douglas Hardwood Flooring and ERI Design.

Major changes, including tenants, are not planned, according to the firm.

The two other parcels purchased in the agreement are lots supporting the building.

Eastern Boarder operates two locations in Worcester and Nashua, but the company once controlled several other stores, including in Natick and Leominster. The company could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
