Worcester seeking residents to help distribute $146M pandemic aid

The City of Worcester is seeking volunteers who can serve a three-year term on one of five ad-hoc committees tasked with distributing $146 million in federal and state pandemic recovery aid.

The funds will be distributed to community organizations, small businesses, and individuals, and are particularly intended for low-income communities and communities of color.

Committee assignments will include:

  • Affordable housing trust fund;
  • Business assistance;
  • Community projects/programs;
  • Creative economy/cultural plan;
  • Mental health programs.

Eligible prospective committee members must be Worcester residents and should visit the city’s website to apply.
