A group of Central Massachusetts realtors are launching an area chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.
In an email, the chapter’s Founding President Jasmine Ortiz, a Worcester realtor with Keller Williams Coastal Realty, said chapters in Boston and Providence have both expanded over the last three years.
To celebrate the launch, the organization is holding a kick-off event at 6 p.m. March 8 at Shrewsbury Street restaurant Nuovo in Worcester.
The Central Mass. chapter’s board of directors will be unveiled at the event.
Central Mass. politicians including Worcester Mayor Joe Petty and leaders in Latino-populated areas of Fitchburg, Southbridge and Springfield will be invited.
Ortiz was featured in the WBJ’s 40 Under Forty issue in 2016 for her work increasing the number of Latinos purchasing residential and commercial properties.
