Worcester printing company Deerfield Press Inc. has been purchased by D3 Logic Inc. of Providence, R.I.
Deerfield Press is a more than 50-year old print shop on Grove Street with about seven employees.
D3 said the acquisition will expand its printing capabilities including offering increased format flexibility and color schemes as well as faster turnaround times. The company already has a graphics and print center in Marlborough. Deerfield founder Julius Palley said the eventual plan will be to combine Deerfield operations with the Marlborough location.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
