Worcester Nonprofit Gets $1.3M Grant

Worcester-based nonprofit organization Training Resources of America Inc. received a $1.3 million grant to provide mentoring, educational and occupational training to low-income parents in Massachusetts.
Worcester and Fitchburg are two of the 10 communities where TRA will be working.
U.S. Rep. James McGovern, D-Worcester, helped secure the grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The program hopes to provide assistance to 400 low-income parents that are between the ages of 16 and 24.
The program will be run through TRA and LARE Training in Lawrence, which is a division of TRA.
