The Men's Wearhouse store on Route 9 in Worcester has closed, one of up to 500 locations its owner said this summer would be shuttered across the company.
The store was located at the corner of Belmont Street and Lake Avenue for roughly a decade, replacing a Mr. Tux location.
Men's Wearhouse locations have been closing this summer after parent company Tailored Brands, which also owns Jos. A. Bank, Moores Clothing for Men and K&G, said in July it would close up to 500 locations among those chains. The California-based company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Men's Wearhouse still has 11 locations in Massachusetts, including at the Auburn Mall and in Framingham, Franklin and Leominster. Jos. A. Bank, which has locations in Millbury and Framingham, has not closed any Central Massachusetts locations.
