Worcester, Medway Law Firms Awash In Green

Worcester law firm Milton, Laurence & Dixon is one of four state firms to be honored by the Massachusetts Bar Association next week for its "eco-friendly" practices.
Milton Laurence will be honored along with Borchers, Ware & Guglielmo of Medway and two firms from Boston and Cambridge May 14 in Salem. The MBA's Lawyers Eco-Challenge and the Conservation Law Foundation asked firms to find ways to minimize their impact on the environment.
The MBA said Milton Laurence worked with its landlord at 100 Front St. to install motion-activated faucets and soap dispensers, sends out bi-monthly e-mails with tips and reminders to be more conscious of the firm's new environmental practices and celebrated Earth Day.
Borchers Ware installed programmable thermostats and new recycling systems and created standards for working from home one day every three weeks.
