Worcester-based Studio Jade opened a second office in Gainesville, Florida, positioning itself for a possible change in cannabis laws in that state.

"We are thrilled to be opening our new location in Gainesville and look forward to becoming an integral part of the community,” Studio Jade Founder and CEO Brittany Wong said in a Monday press release. “Our team is eager to collaborate with local businesses and contribute to the growth and success of this vibrant city."

The company hired three graduates of Gainesville’s Santa Fe College and was a sponsor of the 2023 Santa Fe College Graphic Design Student Exhibition.

“The agency's decision to expand to Gainesville was fueled by the desire to position itself as a local marketing agency committed to supporting the cannabis industry as legislation may change in the coming years from medical to recreational cannabis sales. Studio Jade recognizes the potential growth of this sector and is poised to offer their expertise and creativity to help businesses thrive in the burgeoning market,” Studio Jade wrote in the press release.

The agency has worked with dispensaries Bud’s Good & Provisions in Worcester and Essex Apothecary in Lynn, according to the company’s website. It rebranded the Handcrafted Shop, the former Gallery Store at the Worcester Center for Crafts, and works with the Worcester Center for Crafts on a variety of projects.
