Worcester, Leominster accounting firms to merge
Two Central Massachusetts accounting firms – one based in Worcester and the other in Leominster - have agreed to merge, according to one of the two parties.
P.L. Jones & Associates of Worcester says it will combine forces with a 60-year-old Leominster firm owned by Robert C. Alario. The combined firm will take the name of that company, RCA, according to a letter from Patricia L. Jones, the head of P.L. Jones, to her firm’s clients.
Jones said her firm has operated independently for 20 years.
“We have spent a significant amount of time with the principals of the firm, Bob Alario and Karen Spinelli, and can say with 100 percent confidence you will appreciate their years of experience and professional knowledge,” Jones wrote in the letter.
There will be no staffing changes and her Worcester office on Cedar Street will remain open, Jones added.
She and Alario will work on combining the data of the two firms over the next several months, Jones said.
