Investment management firm Private Wealth Management Group of Worcester has acquired two Newburyport firms: Beacon Retirement Group and Hackett Retirement Solutions & Insurance, the company announced.
The acquisition closed Dec. 30. It was the second expansion in 2011 for the Worcester firm, which acquired Holly Financial Services of Rochester, N.H., earlier in the year.
With the expansion, advisers with Private Wealth Management now provide investment, insurance and financial services to more than 1,000 individual and 300 corporate customers throughout Central Massachusetts and New England.
