Worcester health centers get $98K from MassDevelopment

Both Worcester community health centers received just short of $50,000 each for capital improvement projects from MassDevelopment, the agency announced Thursday.

The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester will use its $49,900 to upgrade and install video conferencing equipment in its Worcester, Framingham, and Milford locations, according to MassDevelopment.

Family Health Center of Worcester will use its grant of the same amount to pay for equipment and staff for the new school-based health center it is opening in Worcester East Middle School.

MassDevelopment said it awarded a total of $496,604 to community health centers across the state.
