Community Legal Aid Inc. of Worcester is one of three organizations in the state splitting a $624,409 grant to help victims of housing discrimination.
The grant, from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is part of a $28 million pool of funds being distributed across the country. The money comes from HUD’s Fair Housing Initiatives Program and will be used to investigate charges of housing discrimination and educate housing providers and the public about the issue of discrimination.
The other Massachusetts grant recipients are HAP Inc. of Springfield and the Fair Housing Center of Greater Boston.
