Worcester remains among the most affordable cities in greater Boston in which to rent a home, according to apartment rental platform Zumper.
According to the website, a one-bedroom apartment in Worcester would cost around $1,150, and a two bedroom apartment would cost $1,290, both the most affordable rates among 15 metro-Boston cities.
One-bedroom rent rose over the past year by 5 percent, but rent for two-bedroom apartments in Worcester actually fell by 1.5 percent from last year and by 4.4 percent from last month.
In Framingham, one-bedroom rent came in at $1,480, a 4 percent decrease from last year, but a 2.1 percent increase from last month.
Two bedroom apartments in the soon-to-be city would cost $1,740, a 1.1 decrease over last year but a 0.6 percent increase from the previous month.
Cambridge, Brookline and Boston come in as the most expensive cities in which to rent, with one-bedroom prices at $2,380, $2,300 and $2,200, respectively. For two-bedroom apartments, a renter would have to pay at least $2,600 to rent in those cities and close to $3,000 in Cambridge, according to Zumper.
