Worcester Firm Wins Deal With Wis. Company

Ballard Mack Sales and Services of Worcester has been named a regional distributor for a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of parts for commercial trucks and school buses.
Ballard will be authorized to sell and service an auxiliary power unit made by the firm, Idle Free Systems of Madison, Wis., in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The product provides drivers and fleet operators with a flexible, cost-effective alternative to “discretionary” idling without affecting vehicle performance, cost savings or driver comfort, while reducing emissions.
“We’re excited about the partnership with Ballard, whose distinctive reputation for quality, and a track record of success, matches our own,” said Robert Hopton, CEO of Idle Free Systems.
