Worcester law firm Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos LLP opened its only satellite office in September, choosing the MetroWest community of Westborough, both for its convenience and access to a significant portion of the Massachusetts market.
“Most of the larger Worcester firms like to have and do have a presence in and around Westborough,” said Marvin Silver, partner in the law firm and head of the Westborough office.
The opening of the Westborough office coincided with Silver joining the firm. An estate planning attorney, Silver had operated a similar Westborough office for the Providence law firm of Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, who decided to exit the MetroWest market in 2015.
Westborough offers convenient access to Interstate 495 and routes 9 and 20, which makes it ideal for clients to get to the office from all around MetroWest, said Silver. The town also has a strong school system, so it attracts a higher income resident.
Westborough allows the firm to expand its geographic reach while still holding strong to a solid base of clients, Silver said. The satellite office is at 45 Lyman St. in Westborough.
Christopher, Hays, Wojcik & Mavricos still operates primarily out of Worcester, where 11 of its 12 attorneys are based, led by Managing Partner John A. Mavricos. Its practice areas include litigation; business and corporate; tax, trusts and estates; and employment law.
