The Worcester East Side Community Development Corporation (WESCDC) will introduce seven new homeowners to renovated homes on East Central St., Channing St. and Rockport Rd.
The latest phase of the Bell Hill III Homeownership Initiative features homeowners who meet low-income guidelines and purchased homes after participating in a first-time homebuyers program. Each home also features a rental unit, which allows the new owners to also function as landlords.
The Bell Hill III project is a joint venture between Worcester, the WESCDC, and the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Trust Fund. UMass Memorial Health Care has also played a role, helping by providing properties and assisting in the creation of the Bell Hill Housing Fund.
