Worcester Affordable Housing LLC has proposed a renovation and addition to its former mill building at 70 Webster St. in Worcester, creating 33 apartments.
The company plans to create eight two-bedroom apartments and 25 one-bedroom apartments, according to an application submitted by attorney Donald O’Neil to the Worcester Planning Board.
The plans were received by the City on April 28, which excludes the project from the inclusionary zoning policy which was ordained on May 9.
WAH purchased 70-76 Webster St. and neighboring 82-92 Webster St. in 2014 for $1 million from Gordon Realty of Worcester. WAH purchased the mill complex across the street at 75 Webster St. in 2011 for $725,000, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds. The buildings are home to a variety of small businesses, at least one religious organization, and art studios.
