Worcester Credit Union is broadening its mortgage services through an agreement with an organization that has assigned a representative to work the financial institution, the credit union announced Monday.
Karen E. Duffy, the credit union’s president and CEO, said the agreement with Member Advantage Mortgage will allow WCU members “to take advantage of a much wider variety of mortgage loans.”
“This provides an excellent opportunity for those seeking mortgages at all stages of life – just starting out as first time borrowers, refinancing to access equity, purchasing a second home, or searching for the best retirement mortgage,” she said in a statement.
Member Advantage has stationed a full-time representative, Stephen E. Day, at WCU’s offices on West Boylston and Main streets. He will be charged with recruiting new members who are seeking mortgages, and reaching out to existing members to provide new mortgage options, the WCU statement said.
