Central Massachusetts' fifth largest accounting firm is getting bigger.
S&G LLP on Front Street in Worcester has acquired Winer CPA P.C. of Framingham, the companies announced Monday.
S&G will add Winer’s three-person team to the firm. Before the acquisition, S&G has 29 employees, according to the Worcester Business Journal’s Research Department, making it the fifth largest accounting firm in Central Massachusetts.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We had been approached by several firms, but S&G was the most client-centric and fit with our values" said Jeffrey Winer.
Terence Shepherd, S&G’s managing partner did not return calls seeking comment.
In a statement, Shepherd said the acquisition brings valuable resources in personnel talent and expertise to the company.
In addition to Winer, his son, Ross Winer, and office assistant Janet Snider, will work in the newly expanded S&G Framingham office on Route 9.
