Worcester County homes selling for $250K so far in 2018

Worcester County home sale prices continue to climb at a pace above the Massachusetts average, with the median sale prices for the year now reaching $250,000. 

The report, released by Boston real estate information firm The Warren Group on Wednesday, said that sale price has increased nearly 9 percent over the first three months of last year, when the median sale price was just $230,000.

Sale prices for condos are also skyrocketing, the report said.

The median sale price of condors last month was $192,500, compared to just $165,000 in March 2017 - an increase of nearly 17 percent. 

For the year, condos are selling for a median price of $183,000, a 6.2-percent increase over the $172,250 mark for the same period last year.

Last month, 153 condos were sold, a 7-percent increase from March 2017. For the year, 374 condos have been sold, slightly behind last year’s pace of 390 for the first three months.

Statewide, median condo sale prices have reached a record high of $389,000, a spike of 20 percent, the report said.

Statewide, single-family homes are selling for a median price of $350,000 so far this year, a 5-percent increase from the $335,000 mark set for the first three months last year.
