The median price of a single-family Worcester County home hit $263,000 last month as state home prices hit an all-time high for the month, according to real estate experts.
Boston real estate data firm The Warren Group’s monthly report said the state’s median price was $365,000, a 7.4-percent increase from last February.
In Worcester County, that increase was even more at 7.6 percent.
There were 423 sales in the county last month compared to 393 for the same period last year. Over the first two months of 2019, sales are down to 891 from 940.
In Worcester city, home prices aren’t increasing at the same rate. The median price of a single-family home in February was $226,000, a 4.6-percent increase from the $216,000 price from last February.
For the year, homes in Worcester are going for $232,500.
Condos appear to be more in demand than single family homes both in the city and county, as Worcester condo median prices in February rose 54.1 percent to $205,000 from $133,000. In the entire county, the median price of condos rose 23.2 percent to $211,000 from $171,300.
